Shop My Cart: Abercrombie & Fitch

Y’all. I have a confession… I’m a horrible online shopper. Like the worst. I peruse my favorite stores, I constantly add things to my cart and for one reason for another, I just can’t make myself check out! Please tell me someone out there is the same way?!? Put me in a Mall and I get lost in a shopping high and buy all the things, but the second I’m home and surrounded by my conscience, I can’t commit! So, I thought it would be fun to highlight a different store each week and share what’s in my cart!

First up, Abercrombie & Fitch. (Yes, I said Abercrombie.) If you are new here or don’t follow me on Insta  (which you really should… @shoplindsey) you need to know that I fell in LOVE with this store over the Summer. I randomly stopped in looking for denim cut offs and was so impressed with how the store had matured! This is no longer the Abercrombie of our High School days. No more moose polos or abundance of jean skirts. It’s beautifully curated and completely on trend.

What I Wore: Boyfriend Jeans

Happy Monday, friends! I hope y’all had a great weekend! It always goes by too quickly, doesn’t it?!? I wanted to share this super easy outfit I wore recently. My favorite part… I’m literally just wearing a white tee and jeans (the power of accessories #amiright?); a look anyone can pull off, no matter your age or size! I love how something so simple, like draping a jacket over my shoulders, really softens the look with the masculine denim and edgier accessories. Style tip: You could easily replace the leopard heels for a cute lace up flat for a chic daytime look.

Must Have: Utility Vest

One of the biggest questions I receive from girls that follow me on Instagram…Where can I find your green military style vest?!? Out of all the outfits, that vest is speaking to y’all, so, I thought I would do a fun post to share how I’m styling my green utility vest and where you can find one too!

This vest has been on my radar for a while. If I would have know how often I would wear it and how versatile it could be, I would have invested in one much earlier! It’s perfect for adding a little something extra to any outfit. This is one of those pieces that will carry you through, year round. Its adorable over dresses, chambray, plaid, stripes and I especially LOVE it paired with my fur collar for Fall!

Must Have for Fall, Green Utility Vest

I purchased mine from Target and, of course, its no longer available, BUT I did find lots of cute ones that you should grab while you can!

Friday Favorites

It’s almost the weekend, friends! We have some fun things planned and I’m counting down the minutes until the weekend officially begins! What a better way to celebrate than to share some of the things I’m loving this week!

A couple weeks ago I took a little time out and found myself at my local Ulta. I went in to test the It Cosmetics foundation that is all over my Insta right now, and instead stumbled on a fun promotion from Benefit; Free Brow Wax and Shaping with a $50 purchase. SOLD. Somehow I spent over an hour in that store and by the time I left I had spent way more than I intended, but I did find a new fave! Benefit Erase Paste. It’s a highlighter/concealer and works like a charm!

The Stella & Dot Holiday Collection launched this week and it is STUNNING! I, of course, had to have the feather piece on end; The Harper. It shares my daughter name, but it’s also screaming mine! I’ll be opening my samples LIVE on my Facebook VIP page on Sunday. Comment below and I’ll add you if you want to join!

After a recommendation from a sweet friend, I started reading Present Over Perfect this week. I’m only 5 chapters in, but I can already tell this book was written for me! It’s one of those books that’s just plain hard to put down. I have a feeling this weekend is going to consist of reading… and lots more reading! It’s so good!

Date Night Style

Brian and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary in September. We got all dressed up, went out for a delicious kid free meal, and ended the night by picking up ice cream from the grocery store and watching The BlackList on Netflix! {So romantic, huh?!} We are total homebodies and I wouldn’t change it for anything!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! I thought we would start a fun little series where I share some of my favorite things from the week! Whether it be something I recently purchased, something I’m reading or just something I NEED to share! I hope y’all enjoy this! {And if you have some Friday favorites, share them below! I want to see what my friends are loving too!}

So, I’m 31. I’ve been wearing mascara for well over 16 years and I’ve tried them all! I, for one reason or another, always find my way back to L’Oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black. Seriously the best. While I was doing my grocery shopping this week I found this little sidekick, L’Oreal Voluminous Primer. Not only does it amplify your lashes, but it conditions them too! I love how full and long my lashes look when I use this primer/mascara combo!

Athleisure Trend

One trend that I am 100% on board with right now is this “Athleisure” trend. {Which I have been rocking for years as my “I look like I am headed to barre class, but I’m really just headed to school drop off” look.} I can totally get behind anything that involves wear yoga pants and still looking chic!

I posted this on Instagram last night and had a great response, so I thought I would share here too! This is the Niko Top from one of my favorite boutiques, Gray Monroe. I love that this top can be thrown on with skinny jeans and booties and instantly I look put together (those are my favorite kinds of tops!). BUT I also love that I could pair this over a long tank, a pair of leggings and my favorite sneakers for that perfect “Athleisure” look!

Fall Bootie Round Up

My favorite thing about a neutral bootie is that you can really wear them all year long! Of course we love them in the Fall and Winter with sweaters and skinnies, but they also pair perfectly with Spring boho dresses and our favorite Summer off the shoulder tops! I think knowing you can wear something all year long, makes it a little easier to spend more on an item.

Transitioning

Before we truly jump in, I have a confession… I am not a writer. I’m just a girl who loves people, has a passion for styling and wants to somehow get that out to my readers and clients! So please keep that in mind as we move forward!

This can always be a tricky time of year.  All the retailers are pushing their Fall lines and we’re still sweating it out with highs in the 90’s (at least we are in Oklahoma)! So where does that leave the consumers who are purchasing these Fall looks, like sweaters and boots?! Let’s break down a few different ways you can still be on trend with those new purchases, but for your current weather trend.

First, don’t be afraid to mix seasons! Adding a chunky sweater with your favorite Summer cut-offs is the perfect blend of the two seasons. Finish the look with minimal jewels and neutral booties.
