I’m sitting down to write this post and I’m just completely overwhelmed. Last night we celebrated the launch of the SHOPLINDSEY x Beau&Arrow collection. Friends, Family, Blog readers and sweet Instagram friends; packed the Beau & Arrow store with so much anticipation and excitement for my new line. It was so surreal, so special and SO MUCH FUN!

Welcome to the very first post of our new series, How To Style! As a Stylist, one of the biggest requests I receive from friends, family, and clients is; ‘How do I wear this?’. It’s one of my favorite questions to answer, because it gives me a chance to really show my clients, not only how to style a piece, but also how to make pieces in their closet go further. If you’ve been around for a while, you know I love remixing my wardrobe. It helps curve my shopping habit, but it also allows me to be creative. My goal with this new series is to also help you make your closet work for you. I hope to give you tips and ideas that are both attainable and fun!
How To Style: The Black Turtleneck
If there is one piece that has been working overtime in my wardrobe this winter,
Its finally feeling like Spring! Which for us in Oklahoma means, it’s hot one day and cold the next. (You can even throw in a tornado for good measure!) As soon as I pull out my favorite shorts, the next day I am reaching for my favorite sweater! I always like to have a handful of good light weight sweaters to carry me through the Spring.

This is one of my favorite trends, because the blocked heel gives more of a easy, bohemian feel and also adds lots of comfort! If you follow me on Instagram (@shoplindsey) you know that I have been majorly crushing on velvet lately! It seems to be the only thing I’m drawn to while shopping. I went out for some girl time (ie. Christmas break decompression) on Monday with my Mom and Aunt and everywhere we went there was at least one velvet piece in my cart! I bought the cutest velvet dress that I plan to wear to an upcoming wedding and the sweetest velvet cami for layering!
This piece is one of my favorites from our Holiday Line! You wouldn’t think so, but it is so versatile. It’s just as stunning over a little black dress as it is here with a gray tee and distressed skinnies! I love the unexpected of mixing a fancy statement necklace with the edge of a leather moto. It just feels too good!
Y’all. I have a confession… I’m a horrible online shopper. Like the worst. I peruse my favorite stores, I constantly add things to my cart and for one reason for another, I just can’t make myself check out! Please tell me someone out there is the same way?!? Put me in a Mall and I get lost in a shopping high and buy all the things, but the second I’m home and surrounded by my conscience, I can’t commit! So, I thought it would be fun to highlight a different store each week and share what’s in my cart!
First up, Abercrombie & Fitch. (Yes, I said Abercrombie.) If you are new here or don’t follow me on Insta (which you really should… @shoplindsey) you need to know that I fell in LOVE with this store over the Summer. I randomly stopped in looking for denim cut offs and was so impressed with how the store had matured! This is no longer the Abercrombie of our High School days. No more moose polos or abundance of jean skirts. It’s beautifully curated and completely on trend.

Happy Monday, friends! I hope y’all had a great weekend! It always goes by too quickly, doesn’t it?!? I wanted to share this super easy outfit I wore recently. My favorite part… I’m literally just wearing a white tee and jeans (the power of accessories #amiright?); a look anyone can pull off, no matter your age or size! I love how something so simple, like draping a jacket over my shoulders, really softens the look with the masculine denim and edgier accessories. Style tip: You could easily replace the leopard heels for a cute lace up flat for a chic daytime look.
It may be 90° today in Oklahoma, but a cold front is coming in tonight and I’m over here like #givemeallthesweaters! I have my Pumpkin candles burning, ingredients for chili on my grocery list fort his week and I’m busy shopping for Fall!
