When we were brainstorming for the March Shoplindsey x Beau & Arrow collection, I knew that I wanted to add a Kimono to the line. My Pinterest Board is full of different ways to style them and my online carts all over the internet have a Kimono in each one! I love how by just adding a fun printed kimono you can change the entire style of a look. You can dress it up with a monochromatic base, heels and statement jewelry or throw it on over distressed jeans, a white tee, and your favorite mules.

Im hoping we can sneak a little date night in this weekend, but Im guessing by now most of our favorite restaurants are full of reservations! I may need to sit down and figure that out today! Which brings me to my next question… who plans your date nights? I’m normally the planner. We always talk about what we want to do or where we want to go together, but when it comes to reservations and babysitters, its all me (which Im totally fine with because I am the “I have to know what is happening-do not keep surprises from me- type of planner!). When the girls from Red Dress Boutique reached out to me about doing a collaboration, I was thrilled! I remember watching them on TV when they were pitching their idea on Shark Tank. And I have been following their journey every since! I was so thankful they contact me! I was able to pick a few pieces to wear and style for you all and this dress was my top pick! Welcome to the very first post of our new series, How To Style! As a Stylist, one of the biggest requests I receive from friends, family, and clients is; ‘How do I wear this?’. It’s one of my favorite questions to answer, because it gives me a chance to really show my clients, not only how to style a piece, but also how to make pieces in their closet go further. If you’ve been around for a while, you know I love remixing my wardrobe. It helps curve my shopping habit, but it also allows me to be creative. How To Style: The Black Turtleneck
If there is one piece that has been working overtime in my wardrobe this winter,
I picked this sweater up at Nordstrom Rack a few weeks ago and have probably worn it once a week since then! It is so soft, the color is amazing and I can’t say no to a statement sleeve! I wore this outfit to church and after lunch had Brian snap a few photos of me so I could share it here. It is a must for all of us! It comes in 4 colors and is under $30! Praise hands! I’ve styled it so many ways, since purchasing.
It finally feels like Fall here in Oklahoma and I’m welcoming these cooler temps with open arms! Honestly, our weather is still like a roller coaster! Its freezing in the mornings and warm in the afternoon. It makes it impossible to really get dressed for the day without loading up on layers as you walk out the door! Thats why I am filling my closet with chic jackets and sweaters that I can wear everyday (until I have to peel off that layer because its so warm!)!
Wednesday’s call for embellished sweaters and statement earrings, right?! I am obsessed with this sweater from Pavilion at Utica Square! It’s the perfect blend of chic and fun! I styled it here with my favorite distressed denim and booties, but think it would also be super cute with a suede mini skirt and over the knee boots!
These cooler mornings have been the best excuse to pull out my favorite booties and have fun with some new Fall looks! It’s still not totally feeling like Fall here {hello, todays high of 85!), but we’re getting so close! For me, it’s all about layering! In Oklahoma layering is a MUST at this time of year. Our mornings are so cool and our afternoons are still SO hot! I LOVE this blouse from Beau & Arrow for layering.
It’s almost Fall y’all! Here in Oklahoma we’ve reached that weird time of the year when all the retailers are shoving Fall Fashion in our faces and we’re still sweating it out in 90° weather!
