There are so many great amazing trends for Spring 2017 and I can’t wait to share a few of my favorites with you over the next few weeks! First up, the mule. I’ve been crushing on this look for a while and stalking my favorite brands waiting for a sale {does anyone else do that?!}. I’m probably the worst Fashion Blogger, because I absolutely HATE to buy anything full price! There are a few items that I truly think are investment pieces (bags, jeans, boots), but a trendy shoe isn’t one of them! I love a good dupe, especially when it’s on trend pieces. So, I thought I would round up my favorite Mules under $100! I’d love to hear your favorites too!
{Oversized} Sweater Weather
Is there any outfit easier than pairing skinnies with an oversized sweater?! It’s my go to winter style. Some days paired with sneakers, some with boots, but everyday includes an oversized sweater! I love this one from Beau & Arrow and have to admit that I wore it 4 times last week (it’s too good!)! If your local, you need to head down to the Boxyard and stop in to Beau & Arrow! It’s the cutest boutique and I can’t wait to share more looks with you over the next few weeks!
Style tip: When shopping for this look, try sizing up! The slouchier the better! When styling an oversized top, keep your pants slim. We don’t want to get lost in our clothes! Pair with leggings and over the knee boots, skinny jeans and sneakers, or a straight leg with lace up flats!
Velvet Crush
{ Blouse | Cami (similar) | Skinnies | Booties | Jewelry }
If you follow me on Instagram (@shoplindsey) you know that I have been majorly crushing on velvet lately! It seems to be the only thing I’m drawn to while shopping. I went out for some girl time (ie. Christmas break decompression) on Monday with my Mom and Aunt and everywhere we went there was at least one velvet piece in my cart! I bought the cutest velvet dress that I plan to wear to an upcoming wedding and the sweetest velvet cami for layering!
#momstyle
By now, y’all know my passion for styling and my love for getting dressed up! BUT it would be wrong to portray a me on this blog that is dressed and accessorized perfectly everyday! I’m a mom of two small kids and most days are anything but glamorous. I’m normally a mess of a human, leaving for school drop offs in leggings, Uggs and Brian’s oversized shirts. Our mornings are so hectic getting everyone ready, that I tend to be the last one throwing something on as we rush out the door. I try to pull myself together while the kids are at school, but unless I’m going somewhere important, I normally keep it very casual. I figured if this is my normal, its probably pretty normal for some of you too! I thought it would be fun to put together some chic ways to make the most of your Monday-Friday grind.
How to nail that Everyday Casual Chic look:
Metallic Skirt
Merry Christmas Eve, friends! I hope you are all relaxing and enjoying today! We’re quickly running out to grab a few last minute things before we head to our Church Christmas Eve service this evening. This outfit is totally not important on a day like today, but I thought it might be fun to share! The minute I saw this gold metallic skirt, I knew it would be perfect for this Holiday season! And paired with ruffles? Yes, please!
How to Create a Jewelry Capsule
By now, most of you have heard about the Capsule Wardrobe trend. The idea that less is more in your wardrobe. Instead of having a closet full of clothes (that you probably never wear), you select a few essential pieces that don’t go out of style; creating a mini wardrobe. The average capsule has 20-30 pieces and last for 3 months. You just mix and match those essential items to create new looks everyday! Obviously this makes getting dressed super easy, but it also saves so much money, because you’re not shopping for clothing as often!
Using this idea as a jumping off point, I wanted to create an ‘Accessories Capsule’. A grouping of accessories that you can wake up and throw on everyday and feel put together. No guess work. One of the biggest things I hear at my Trunk Shows, is women that say “I never wear jewelry, I just don’t know where to start.” This is my favorite. I understand, when your looking at a table full of Statement Necklaces and Arm Parties, it’s intimating to women who just don’t know where to start. That’s where the jewelry capsule can help.
How to create a Jewelry Capsule:
Start with a delicate Necklace; I love any piece that tells a story. Think about an engravable or an initial piece. Then add in light earrings; A thin hoop, delicate drop, or studs. Add one bracelet to layer with your everyday watch. If your day to day style is casual, think about adding a leather wrap bracelet. If it is more dressy or in a business setting, add a bangle. Finish the look with a ring or two.

Weekend Scenes
Hey, hey! I hope you all had a great weekend! I went to Arkansas on Saturday for a fun Brunch themed Trunk Show and I’m pretty sure we may have skipped over Fall and straight to Winter here in Oklahoma! It was so cold!! I love any excuse to wear my fur collar from loft, so Im not complaining!

On Sunday we hosted a Wedding Shower for my cousin and his fiancé at our home. They are headed to Canada after their wedding, so we used that as our inspiration for this ‘Rustic Winter Wonderland’ themed shower. Lots of buffalo check, woodgrains, and the cutest little bottlebrush trees!
{Faux} Suede Moto
Making A Statement
This piece is one of my favorites from our Holiday Line! You wouldn’t think so, but it is so versatile. It’s just as stunning over a little black dress as it is here with a gray tee and distressed skinnies! I love the unexpected of mixing a fancy statement necklace with the edge of a leather moto. It just feels too good!
Friday Favorites
Hey there! I took an unexpected Thanksgiving break and spent some much needed time with my little family. It was so good for my soul! I’m back today with my Friday Favorites and I have some good ones for you today!!
